Some info about Intel HD Graphics 3000

Posted by ninjamode on Mar 28, 2011

Please share your experience with Intel's HD Graphics 3000 chip. I'm particularly interested how it will perform under heavy loads of graphic and movie editing? Cheers.

Well, I think, for mainstream gaming and HD movies this chip should be ok

I've read a review of the graphics and was quite impressed. This is probably the first onboard graphics that can beat (or run on par with) entry level dedicated notebook graphics.

Cyrax :), looking for a review of the chip didn't cross my mind. The benchmark tests are looking promising. I've had bad experience with Intel's first GMA HD graphics, but it seems they've nothing in common. Thanks.

The graphics are quite nice, but it seems they only come in the Core i7 CPU's, I've seen a GMA HD 2000 somewhere on the web and the CPU was i5 if I remember correctly

You are wrong...the new Sandy Bridge i5 are with HD Graphics 3000
