So the first pictures of the HD 6850 and HD 6870 have leaked across the net to give us a bit of eye candy without revealing anything important. It should be significantly faster than the HD 5970 and probably a lot more expensive.

Both CPUID & catalyst are showing that GPU clock is 157mhz and the memory clock is 300mhz. When I open catalyst and enable ATI overdive I have 850 for the GPU and 1200 on the memory ( selcted by the sliders) these were the values that come up as default. Right now I only have Firefox & Catlyst running...

For the last few days i see that many Graphic card manufacturers has debuted their own GT 430 graphic card and that got me wondering if these things are any good. Pricing seems to be on the spot at under $80, but how is the performance?

I have this card for about 3.5 years now and the factory fan is now quite noisy. I would like to change it with a new one. What manufacturer should I look for in order to get good performance at low noise levels? Any advice is appreciated.

Did anyone manage to get sound out of the DVI of this card? When I start Windows it plays the login sound, but any other sound goes to the main audio card of the system.
