Can I upgrade GF7050VT-M5 motherboard with additional 4GB of RAM?

i have 2 gig ddr2 pc2 6400 ram can i add 4gig ddr2 pc2 6400 ram so it will be 6gig total ram

Level 2 Yes, you can :) Up to 8GB, 400/533/677 MHz. It's good (not necessarily), the new memory to has the same MHz as your old memory.

Level 4 You have 2 slots for RAM memory on your motherboard. If they are not both occupied but just one of them, with a single 2GB memory module, then yes, you can add an additional 4GB module and have a total of 6GB (If you actually find one for sale).

However, If you have both slots occupied (2 x 1GB modules) then you have 2 options:

- either replace these with 2 and 4GB modules to have a total of 6GB (my suggestion would be to go for the maximum, i.e. 2 x 4GB instead of 6GB)
- keep 1GB in slot1 and add additional 4GB to slot2 for a total of 5GB

Unfortunately I couldn't find any available offers in newegg for 2 x 4GB kits nor for a single 4GB modules.

Level 1 thanks for answers.. but as gamester says if i buy additional 4gb ddr2 pc2 6400 ram i need the same MHz as my old ram has?? how can i know the MHz of my ram? where can i see it? =)

Level 1 the bigger the MHz the faster the ram right?
