Professional vs regular headphones, what is the difference?

Trying to figure out what are the advantages of the professional headphones, as it turns out they are fairly priced - $65 and $115 for those particular models available from Sony - MDR7502 and MDR7505. Comparing the MDR7505 to Beats Studio for instance, a pair of which is nearly 2 times the price, I'm wondering what's the difference in the sound? And aren't the pro models suppose to be the "real deal"?

Build quality and better sound, I think that are the main differences. And from what I have seen, pro headphones have higher max input power...

Build quality is a big difference, and also the sound quality.. what you pay for is what you get, style varies between models
