Recovery from Grub Error 5

Problem

Just finished a fresh installation of Ubuntu and just after the restart i get Grub Error 5 and the bootloader halts. Now I can`t get in neither of my OSs. The HDD seems to be ok so I can`t seem to find the reason for the error. I tried reinstalling Grub from the livecd but it keeps giving the same error....

Will wp7.5 mango sync with outlook (without the cloud thing)

I got a Windows 7 phone because I thought it was time to retire my pda and have a personal cell phone. (the one I share with my wife is always lost or the battery is dead).

Much to my surprise windows 7 doesn't sync outlook using mobile device center. I still have a few days before I trade it...

Thoughts about TIZEN, another open-source mobile OS.

For the last few weeks every time I try boot to Ubuntu 11.04 I have been getting the following error:

Could not update .ICEauthority file /home/username/.?ICEauthority

I gather it is a file of importance, but the other users on the system have not been getting the error...

Windows 8 dev preview available for download, share your opinion if you try it

I've heard the reviews/rumors, and I am prone to believe them. Linux is less prone to viruses than a windows based system. But there continue to be skeptics.

So, does any one out there have any valid proof of a Linux attack, or proof of its durability against viruses/malware?

Is there an app to make the contact picture fullscreen for incoming calls?

Hi, recently I feel the windows (7, 64-bit, updated) is starting to get even slower when booting desktop up, i.e. after the welcome screen, needs around 4 minutes to fully load. Although it might be somewhat operational since it launches the desktop, it is laggy as hell and I usually leave it to load...

Would you upgrade to Mac OSX Lion 10.7 right away?

It's available now at the appstore (download only, no more dual-layer DVDs), upgrade from Snow Leopard will cost you $29. I looked at a couple of reviews and I'm definitely going to upgrade in the next month or so, probably after 10.7.1 is released to public. I couldn't find anything significant worth...
