Remote control for a desktop PC?

Hey, is there a way to use a remote control for my desktop pc? I've seen some apple computers come with a small remote, presumably for media, which I'd love to have as well on my windows desktop. I am not looking into wireless keyboards of any sort, just a small tv-like remote.

Yeah, there are remote controls for desktop PCs. You can manage apps, open browsers, schedule tasks and so on. They come with infrared receiver (mostly) and proper software
Where can I get one, and is it compatible with Windows 7 media center? Thanks.
You can get one from amazon, bestbuy, walmart :) And yes, there are models compatible with media center.
