Logitech is rolling out a new addition to its G-Series gaming lineup, the G600 MMO Gaming Mouse, which features a whopping 20 buttons, including 12 thumb buttons plopped into groups of six "on a meticulously designed thumb panel." There are three default profiles to choose from, two of which are best suited for MMO games and and the other for general gaming, in case you want take a break from World of Warcraft and change things up with Battlefield 3 or the like.
The thumb panel is supposed to be easy to reach so you never have to look away from where the action is, but if you do, it should be easy to spot the button you're looking for courtesy of customizable LED backlighting.

Logitech has outed its latest wireless peripheral, the Touch Mouse M600, and it’s gagging for you to stroke, tickle and generally caress it. Topped with a touch-sensitive surface suitable for both left and right handed users, the M600 can handle click-taps and swipes for gestures, and supports Logitech’s Flow Scroll software for smoother on-screen navigation.

CES is supposed to begin next week, but the press releases have already started coming out. Logitech is one of the companies we follow closely here at AnandTech. This CES, they are coming out with two new products, the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 and a novel mouse design in the Logitech Cube. We will write about our impressions of the Logitech Cube after using it first-hand at CES next week. The webcam announcement, however, is interesting for a number of reasons.

Taking a page from Apple, which last year released the Magic Trackpad, Logitech today announced its own version of the mouse companion (or replacement) designed to add multi-touch capabilities to Windows 7-based PCs. Dubbed Wireless Touchpad, the device offers 5 inches of real estate and supports up to four-finger gestures and swipes.
The Logitech Wireless Touchpad takes advantage of Windows 7's gesture-based controls and multi-touch so you can use two fingers to page scroll, three fingers for photo browsing, and four fingers for application switching. These uses will only expand in the future with Windows 8 expected to embrace touch in a big way and as more developers bake in native support...
