In Google TV news another Honeycomb build for the Logitech Revue Google TV has been leaked. We saw Honeycomb for the Revue first leaked in August but that brought many bugs as well as the loss of Netflix. I’m happy to report this newest leaked build not only runs better but Netflix is back and ready to go. We have a full 8 minute video teaser for you after the break.
While it’s not perfect and still very much a work in progress. This does show that the project is moving along nicely because the video looks pretty impressive. Honeycomb on the Revue runs smooth, fluid, and stable other than a few minor hiccups and the fact we have Netflix back is a major plus too. Lets get right to it, here is...

Google TV UK launch given green light?

Google is set to launch its Google TV service in the UK, with Eric Schmidt set to make the announcement at the Edinburgh Television Festival.

This is according to the Telegraph, which believes that the service is to launch in the UK within six months despite it getting lukewarm reviews in the US.

Google TV is a set-top box that allows you to watch online content alongside traditional TV channels.

In the UK this is nothing new; the majority of high-end TVs launched this year allow Smart TV functionality, where you can access web content and the myriad catch-up TV services available.

I’ve never been the sort that was willing to risk running one of my gadgets applying unofficial software and updates. I tend to make do with what OS my gear is running until the official update finally comes out. If you are the sort that likes to apply beta software and unofficial updates to your gadgets and use a Logitech Revue set-top box you may like the unofficial update.
The geeks at GTVHackers have built an unofficial Honeycomb Android OS upgrade specifically for the Revue. The upgrade can be downloaded right now.
