computershopper‘s review Edit

As an entry-level printer, the Smart S2810dn has its benefits. It's a handsomely styled, solidly built peripheral whose design supports relatively modest jobs—350-sheet input, 150-sheet output—and permits opening the back of the unit to clear paper jams. It doesn't offer NFC, but there is wireless printing with the purchase of an optional adapter. It will store print jobs in memory until you want to retrieve them, and allow you to password-protect them. The CPP is decent, and Dell includes a fuser-maintenance kit in its standard one-year warranty. As a text printer (as opposed to a photo printer) its quality is very good, and printing is fast. It gives you quite a bit of control over printing options, including auto-duplexing, toner saver, and booklet printing, even though everything else you'd want to configure has to be done directly on the printer's tiny LCD.
