Lenovo inevitably made some compromises to achieve such a low price point. The display is dim and suffers from narrow viewing angles, and the company doesn't provide the option to upgrade to an IPS or touch screen. The audio, although loud, sounds thin and treble-heavy. And the E450 wasn't a barn-burner in our performance benchmarks. Still, we appreciate the ThinkPad E450 for what it is—a notebook that delivers the ThinkPad experience at a three- instead of four-figure price. While it falls short as an entertainment system, the E450 hits almost all the right notes as a business notebook for tight budgets.
