Brother HL-L2360DW Pro Reviews

computershopper‘s review Edit

Some printers we review have layers, such as the discovery that the purchase includes access to decent graphics tools and downloadable databases of stock images. Added value helps single out a given peripheral or peripheral line from others, and is used to generate brand loyalty. But with the HL-L2360DW, the pluses and minuses are immediately apparent. On the asset side of the ledger, it's inexpensive, sturdy, sleekly attractive, has a good per-page cost, and prints from a raft of mobile devices. On the debit side, print quality is just competent (and only for text; graphics are poor), the output tray won't hold more than 100 sheets, resetting default configurations often doesn't take, and the documentation is very good as far as it goes—but at times it doesn't go far enough. The old adage, "You get what you pay for" strikes us as singularly apt. As an entry-level personal printer, the L2360DW is a reasonable option. With its low overhead and mobile-device printing, it offers sound value for your money. Better still, while Brother is advertising its street price as $150, we're already seeing it for $100 to $130 from some third-party vendors. If you're looking for a gift for a student who doesn't want to write home via snail mail, but prefers printing e-mail, letters, and itineraries, you could do a whole lot worse.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Brother HL-L2360DW monochrome laser printer delivers speed and paper handling that's best suited for a micro office, but its output quality could be better.
