Very reliable device; easy to set up for non-techies - yet very powerful for the tech user

Ownership period: less than a month.
I got the 8Tb version for backing up all my family computers at home (5.4Tb usuable disk space). Very reliable, quiet, small, fast and easy to set up; cheaper than buying drives alone and a box to put them in like with the Robo FS. Love that it runs the new version of Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials; power users can remote desktop to it and tweak it quite extensively. I installed the CrashPlan client on it and it's now backing up the array to the Cloud! Love that you can add a second power supply to it for redundency (got mine from WD's web site) and a second network cable too. Low power consumption - pulls 42 watts according to the UPS (CyberPower CP1000PFCLCD) I plugged into it (via USB cable - automatically recognised it).
