PSP - portable entertainment

Sony's recent PSP-3000 upgrade had one major feature change among its other small updates: the brighter, increased contrast and wider color gamut screen (above: old top, new bottom). The more vivid display takes more power overall, but the rest of the PSP's components are now using less power, giving battery life a net change of zero, which is good.
There are other very minor changes to this such as a microphone for built-in Skype chatting, the re-labeling of the Home button to the PlayStation button and the fact that the current pack comes with Rachet and Clank: Size Matters as well as a National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets UMD movie.

Piece of fun crap...

Sony has got to be the second best con artist of all companies other than apple. Why do I say this? Because this is the third PSP to be released, and yet still has the same exact specs other than a slightly slimmer body and faster processor. Is that not some BS? Anyways, back to the review.... The PSP is one jumbo devise, mainly because of the UMD tray on the back of the devise. It is still pocketable, but you may need bigger pockets. The outside buttons, other than the ones used for gaming are quite useful, especially the wifi on and off button. The power/hold button is hard to use, especially when half the time you try switching from hold to unhold, you end up turning the devise off. The software, even though updated, still has a lot of holes, and needs something new and fun in the next update. The screen is nice, better resolution than the ones before it. With the new update came better battery life, which is slightly noticeable. This devise for the 15-17 teen male margin is actually a lot better suited than the DS, mainly because of better functionality and graphics. This is a fun devise, but i say go out and buy an ipod touch instead.

Sony Playstation Portable

The new Sony PSP 3000 now boasts a new LCD which is more crisper, vibrant and has more color production. It takes out the glare from other previous models. Jagged lines and glares are omitted from playing games and watching videos.

It lacks built in memory so you have to ave a memory stick to save games, videos, mp3s etc.

It now has a microphone built in Its that small hole, and in case you haven't noticed..its tat small hole below the screen :)

The only other changes to the new model are cosmetic: The Home button has become a PSP button and the Sony branding has shifted from the right to the left.

All in all, other tyhan the said changes. it still remains the same old PSP. A portable device that caters all your media needs..

I have now had this for a year, and i really like it. I like the way it handels and the way it integrates software from other sony platforms. But I belive that the PSP will soon die. When apple launches their iPad games on the market will no longer be made for PSP but for iPad and phone. This makes me sad.

it has mic on PSP 3000 Model now, but that doesn't chance the fact that this model not so different from eralier model ( 2000) what makes it's different is only the screen. its has more bright & if we play outside we can still see the picture clear enough (although iif it hit directly to sun, it's kind of hard to see the game afterall) but mostly it's still pretty much the same as the old model.... not so proud of it

Awesome Upgrade of Hardware from Previous Models

The screen of the PSP 3000 model has a significant difference to the previously released ones. It has a great screen where you can see most anything and contains the PSP Firmware currently used on all models. I also wish though that they could focus on their game selection and add something new to the system that would WOW people. Its graphics look great, but it's so limited to what you can do. Sure, you have media, like pictures, videos, and internet with Wi-Fi. Sounds kind of like something you can get from a phone... Overall, great system with high potential that hasn't been put to its full potential.
