Logitech K750 Pro Reviews

Macworld‘s review Edit

While the K750 for Mac can’t quite match the now-discontinued diNovo Mac in terms of key feel and customizability, Logitech’s latest Mac keyboard nevertheless deserves kudos for its Mac-centric design and functionality, easy setup, and very good keys. It’s a solid keyboard that’s currently among the best on the market for Mac users looking to replace or upgrade from their Mac’s stock keyboard, or to add an external keyboard to a Mac laptop. If you’re a practiced touch-typist, just be aware that the key spacing will take some getting used to.

A little expensive for a keyboard but this sturdy, high-quality model is a good choice and won't require new batteries.

MacNN‘s review Edit

At $60, the price is surprisingly competitive. It's somewhat less expensive than most wireless keyboards, including Apple's $69 example. The real edge, though, is in long-term costs. Even if you use good rechargeables, a typical RF- or Bluetooth-based keyboard may need new batteries every one to two years, in addition to the charger. Factor that into a typical keyboard and you may spend $20, $30, or more on top of the keyboard just to keep it running. For a Mac mini owner already watching costs, that could clinch the sale -- not to mention lead to a genuinely eco-friendly keyboard that doesn't have to take disposables. For that reason, it's hard not to at least put the K750 on the short list of alternative keyboards.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The keyboard is incredibly thin, which makes it easy to carry about and store, however it isn't as comfortable to type on than more ergonomically designed keyboards. The keys themselves feel similar to those found on laptop keyboards, so if you find those uncomfortable to type on, then you should avoid this keyboard, no matter how green it is.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

All in all, the positive qualities outweigh the negatives and the keyboard fulfills the high demands which accompany its function as a solid input device. Its elegant appearance takes it one step further. Those looking to save a bit of dough can get a wireless keyboard for half the price of the K750 with the smaller Logitech Wireless Keyboard K340 model. But of course this model is missing the forward-thinking solar technology.

This true no-maintenance keyboard eliminates the need for batteries. Because it's thin and flat, it's best for users who prefer a quiet, laptop-style typing experience.

The Logitech K750 Solar Keyboard is a wonderful example of smart design, innovation and practicality all combining to make a class leading product. Given the low power consumption of keyboards it is surprising in hindsight that a truly independent, high class wireless design had yet to surface. Now it has we'll find it very hard to go back to wires or batteries. It is hard to admit, but we're genuinely excited about this keyboard. Take one home and we're sure you'll feel exactly the same.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 is a well-made compact keyboard that charges using any kind of light. We found typing on the keyboard comfortable and its wireless range worked well as expected. However, the solar-powered feature comes at a cost: the K750 is priced at £64, which is expensive for a wireless keyboard. Unless you really need a stellar battery life with minimum operating cost, you can find a better wireless keyboard at half its price.

Digital Trends‘s review Edit

Forget any notion of “going green” or saving the planet with a solar-powered keyboard, the K750 sells itself with convenience alone. Never have to replace a battery or recharge a keyboard again? Sign us up. Steep prices often kill the appeal of products like these, but Logitech’s letting these go for a reasonable $79.99, which strikes us as a small premium for the convenience of never changing a battery again (the company’s cheapest wireless keyboard goes for $49.99 and doesn’t have quite the style of the K750). Unless you disdain laptop-style keys and scoff at the idea of swabbing down your keyboard for dust now and then, Logitech’s K750 makes a sleek and practical addition to any desk.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

The K750 carries enough charge to make an American football team jealous, and boasts a pleasant, quiet typing action. It's a compact device with a very thin profile, making it handy and portable. The price may give some pause for thought - but take into account years of battery-free wireless typing, and it's a much more reasonable proposition.

All in all this keyboard is another great innovation from Logitech, from the solar panels right down to the recyclable packaging. I just wish it would stay charged as long as Logitech says it does.
