SANYO Xacti VPC-CS1 Pro Reviews

Macworld‘s review Edit

I wanted to bring a video camera on a recent, eight-hour, hilly bike ride. The VPC-CS1’s small size was appealing; it could slip it into my jersey pocket. But since I didn’t want to fiddle with frustrating controls and did want to capture good images, I left the VPC-CS1 in the office and instead crammed a baked-potato-sized alternate into my pocket. I made the right choice; image quality and usability always trump portability in the end. It's unfortunate that the pocket-sized Sanyo Xacti VPC-CS1 makes producing even mediocre images so difficult.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

As it says on the box, this is an ideal lightweight and compact camcorder and still digital camera to carry with you at all times in a handbag or on holiday, offering Full HD video recording and 10x optical zoom.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Sanyo pioneered the concept of hybrid camcorders and digital cameras and this model boasts many components that ought to continue a successful formula. Unfortunately, too many compromises have been made to make a success of the smallest 1080i dual-mode camera around. The result is the Sanyo Xacti CS1 - a flimsy, garishly style camcorder.
