Does anyone knows if Google going to produce their own Chromebooks?

Quite interested in this one, are Google going to manufacture their "own" Chromebooks or just going to relay on other Manufacturers, i.e. Acer, Samsung? I'm thinking If they make something smooth like the original Cr-48 + a couple of extras only available at their own branded notebook, that's gonna be cool, err?

If they make their Chromebook I think it will be only the brand...

Probably they will like they did with the Nexus and Nexus S phones, google branded, but made by Samsung.

I'll be glad to see Google branded Chromebook (instead of acer/samsung) although it would probably be manufactured by one of the main notebook manufacturers anyway. What I want to see is a solid software/hardware config and premium feel of the product's design. IMO they should've sticked to the Cr-48's original design.

I think Google should do as Apple - make software for a certain hardware and I agree with outdated...why Google do not continue developing Cr-48?
