Level 6 Try changing the listening mode it should do the trick. On my system unless I use music sound doesn't come from all of the speakers. just test the ones you have and also test the DPS modes like dolby pro logic, they should expand the sound to all speakers.

manual page 27.

Level 7 I think the problem comes from the sources of sound - FM radio or Disk

Level 5 As WingMan suggested above, you should change your listening mode to Dolby Prologic II which will expand your stereo (2-channel) source for 5.1 playback. For CDs that would be the PLII Music. For DVDs PLII Movie.

In order to get to the Listening mode, press Receiver on your remote, followed by Home. Navigate with arrows to the Listening Mode and change mode with the appropriate setting.

Level 5 I had an Onkyo HTIB system. It lasted 2 days. I would say, check all your connections. Then check your listening modes. If that is all correct, then do a factory reset on the Receiver. It will be in the manual, but mine was pressing the vcr button and the standby button on the receiver at the same time. If yours was like mine, it had to go back to the store. I wanted to love my Onkyo setup...but alas it wasn't meant to be. Even the replacement had issues. I ended up getting a Denon receiver instead. That ended my Onkyo experience.
