A compact gaming PC?

Posted by Reaper on Mar 02, 2011

Yesterday I saw this thing (I believe it was announced at cebit) and i'm amased how small and powerful it is. X58 chipset and SLI/CrossfireX support. This may just be the thing that will persuade me to get rid of my full-tower behemoth of a PC and switch to something a lot smaller, yet with the same (or even more) power

Actually this one is pretty old - February 2009 I think

It looks nice. I don't know whether the airflow will be good. And I think it's price will be high just because it's compact...

I won`t worry about the airflow if i were you...it looks great and the price is reasonable

Looking great tho, perfectly suitable for gaming/htpc and compact. Whats the price?

Reply Level 2 7 FlawLess on Mar 07, 2011

The price is around $600

This thing has a lot of potential of becoming a great mobile gamer with a bit of Crossfire flavor.

p.s. I wonder why Shuttle didn't go with 1155 motherboard, I've seen a benchmark where 1155 i7 is faster than 1366 i7 and it costs half as much.

There is a new version of this PC with a Sandybridge motherboard inside.
