The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has began to draft new technical recommendation details for Ultra High Definition Televisions (UHDTVs). TV sets capable of displaying 3840x2160 pixels and 7680x4320 pixels will carry the UHDTV moniker, according to The Register. The smaller resolution will also be known as 4K for short while getting eight megapixels, with the larger one dubbed 8K and sporting a 32-megapixel resolution. »read more
